Sunset Beach Yoga, Kirtan & Bonfire!
Monday, July 28th at 7:00pm
held at Jennings Beach on the far end near the volleyball courts and boats
**This is a separate registration event.
$25/person if paid in advance, $35/person if paid at the beach.
After class we will have the opportunity to strengthen our community bond as we light the bonfire and join together in a kirtan. The kirtan will begin approximately at 8:30pm and end by 10:00pm.
If you have a Fairfield Beach sticker follow these directions.
Directions from Y4E to Jennings beach: Go left onto Route 1 (Post Road)4th or 5th light go right onto South Benson Road. Follow South Benson all the way to the end then follow the signs for Jennings Beach.
If you do NOT have a beach sticker follow these directions.
Directions to Ash Creek Open Space lot:From the East: Take I-95 South. Take the US-1 exit 23 to Kings Highway and continue 0.11 miles. Turn slight left onto Kings Highway Cutoff/ US-1 South and drive 0.6 miles. Turn left onto Boston Post RD/ US-1 and continue 0.1 miles. Turn slight right onto Old Post Road and continue 0.07 miles. Turn left onto Turney Road which intersects Riverside Drive.

From the West: Take I-95 North. Take exit 22, Round Hill Road and continue 0.27 miles. Stay straight to go onto ramp and continue 0.07 miles. Turn slight right onto Walls Drive and drive 0.17 miles. Restorative Yoga: 6 Week Summer Series

This yoga practice is extremly gentle and is suitable for everybody from the new student to the advanced practitioner. Using breathing techniques and guided visualization the body is supported through use of blankets, blocks, bolsters and straps in a series of postures intended to allow deep relaxation. This style of yoga addresses mental and physical stress, fatique and tension while revitalizing the body.

Family Yoga Class

Calling all mothers, fathers, siblings, and family members... yoga really IS for everybody, and this special class is designed for children ages 5 and up and adults to enjoy and share together! Yoga means "connection," and this class is an opportunity to connect with the ones you love through creative partner poses, basic stretches and soothing relaxation techniques to create a fun environment where adults and children can learn from each other and play as equals. Yoga is an excellent way to slow down and relate to each other in a comfortable and mindful manner. No prior yoga experience is necessary!

Finding Your Bliss: A Back bend Workshop

An open heart is the key to joy. Deepen your practice and connect to your bliss as we explore a variety of backbends to release blocked energy and make space in the heart. Some back bending experience necessary, not for beginners.
Lauren Lanham has been a student of yoga for the past 14 years. On this yogic journey she has had many wonderful teachers and experiences. She believes yoga to be an integral part of one's physical, mental and spiritual life. Lauren has tremendous enthusiasm for and love of yoga that she imparts to her students. Integrative Relaxation (yoga nidra)

Break the momentum of stress
Dissolve and resolve the causes of stress.
This session includes easy to use techniques of breath and simple awareness that can be practiced lying down or sitting comfortably in a chair. Through a combination of simple techniques participants are able to enter into a state of complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.
Chandrakant (John Hiester) is a senior instructor and seminar leader at the Amrit Yoga Institute in Salt Springs, Florida. He leads professional trainings in Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra, as well as other yoga and stress-reduction based programs. As a student and practitioner of yoga and meditation with Yogi Amrit Desai for over
30 years, his experience has given him a solid foundation for the planning and implementation of various community seminars and skill set workshops in yoga, stress reduction and Integrative Relaxation, which he presents nationwide.
John is a preacher's son and a Vietnam era veteran. A graduate of Rutgers University, he has worked as a group counselor in a home for wards of the state and as a door-to-door community social worker in New Jersey. Over the past three decades, he served in various capacities at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and has actively assisted Yogi Desai for the last six years at the Amrit Yoga Institute.
